Color Spotlight: Benjamin Moore White Dove most common color

The most common color that people will use for almost anything in their house is, you guessed it, white. However, not all whites are created equal. They can have undertones of yellow, grey, and many others. They can be bright or dull, clean or muddied.

White can automatically make any space look modern, clean, and nice. It truly opens up a room and can provide many possibilities for any space. If you are going to use white with any accent colors, though, you need to make sure you have the right white. As I said before, whites can have undertones of various colors.

Because white is one of the most commonly used colors out there, I wanted to share with you my recommendation from Benjamin Moore, White Dove.

Using White Dove Paint

White Dove is the perfect color to update both your moldings and your kitchen cabinets or to use on your walls to create a bright, clean space. Benjamin Moore’s White Dove is classic, clean, and bright. It is white without being boring. This soft shade is a popular choice in traditional, southern, and craftsman homes.

It has an ever so slightly warm finish, making it a great choice for kitchen cabinets. Sherwin Williams’ Accessible Beige pairs well with it because it is a warm beige. It is a great choice when someone is looking for a white that is clean and crisp without feeling sterile.

White Dove Paint from Benjamin Moore

As white becomes a more popular main color, I like to go with one that has a little personality.  White Dove provides that. It can stand alone while holding up to dark woods and granite without looking washed out.

As you can see in the picture above, it is on the main walls with black accents. The mixture of black and white gives this home a very classic, clean feel. I love the pop of green they have with the plants as well. It gives a subtle pop of color that doesn’t take away from the classic, neutral color scheme.

If I were planning on leaving a wall white in my home, I would definitely use White Dove!

White Dove in a Craftsman Home

This image shows White Dove in a more craftsman home. As you can see, they used white with brown accents throughout both rooms. It looks beautiful on the fireplace, and again, adds a clean look to the house.

I like the use of the color here, especially on the ceiling. It really lets the wood beams shine without detracting or contrasting with them.

As you can see, White Dove From Benjamin Moore is the perfect, versatile white that everyone needs in their life! What is your “go-to” white? Let me know in the comments below! I would love to hear your color ideas.
